Greece on Saturday reported 110 new coronavirus cases, health authorities said on Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 4,587.

According to the National Health Organization, at least nine of the new cases were related to international travel, while 23 were recorded at a factory in northern Kavala city.

Introducing new measures after the spike in the coronavirus cases, Civil Protection Deputy Minister for Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias said that the use of mask is mandatory in all indoor public spaces, including churches, throughout August.

As of Monday, not more than 100 guests will be allowed to attend weddings and other religious events, while a ban on festivals has been extended until Aug. 31, Hardalias said.
